Esnandes, set atop a line of cliffs
overlooking Aiguillon Bay, has a long history of mussel and
oyster farming, activities which still provide a living for
several of the town's families today.
A fortified church dating back to the 12th and 15th centuries,
the mussel-farming museum, and a picturesque path along the
coast attract hikers to this peaceable but very characteristic
town. |
