Etymologically, the name Jarne comes
from the Latin aguarna or villa, a fitting description for this
residential town as it stands today. La Jarne also offers an
interesting architectural heritage, including a Romanesque church,
a chateau, 17th-c. houses along the "old street" and even a
megalithic dolmen. This is a lively and energetic community,
which counts numerous associations. |
