| A description of La Rochelle's system of higher education would not be complete without the two institutions which cooperate with the University in certain PhD programmes. |
- EIGSI
EIGSI (École des Ingénieurs en Génie des Systèmes Industriels).
Originally the Ecole Violet founded in Paris in 1902, this school was renamed EIGSI after the move to La Rochelle in 1980.
The EIGSI trains non-specialised engineers who, following the five-year programme, are qualified to work at the different stages of production of a product or service.
The openings for an EIGSI engineer include positions in production, quality, purchase or design engineering, in virtually every sector of activity.
The EIGSI educational experience is punctuated with numerous corporate internships and at least one international placement lasting several months, which for fourth-year students can coincide with their mandatory "industrial mission" with a company.
For students with a BTS vocational training certificate or secondary school diploma in industrial science and technology, EIGSI offers "foundation" courses to prepare them for the school's regular degree course.
For its graduates, EIGSI also proposes a doctoral programme in industrial management.
- Sup de Co
Structured around the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, the Sup de Co La Rochelle Group has developed a broad range of programmes in business, management and finance.
- Bachelor (business or international) is a four-year programme in management with a strongly international focus – two years of courses or internships abroad.
- SupGeCo is an undergraduate/postgraduate programme offering four different sub-disciplines (e-commerce, logistics-distribution, international marketing and preparation for the DECF accounting and finance degree).
- Relatio trains its students in customer relations (relational marketing) for companies operating in all sectors of activity.
- The Ecole Française de Tourisme, the youngest in the Sup de Co Group, proposes three specialised one-year programmes (regional speciality product management, camping and caravanning, accommodation) for holders of a two-year higher education degree.
Finally, Sup de Co, in partnership with other universities, proposes a doctoral programme in the environment, tourism and the events industry
